This is going to be a two or three week process similar to how Cookie Monster has been running his awards threads. This thread is for CATEGORY NOMINATIONS ONLY. So save your good stuff for later. In the comments, nominate a category. Best Weekly Thread, Favorite Late Night Header, Most Fun Rabbit movie, whatever. The TOP 15 categories, as decided by upvotes, will be the categories for which we will take nominations next week. Got it? I am going to leave this running for exactly one week and then check the upvote totals.
My goal for the thread is going to be an awards show feel with the winners revealed in the comments along with skits being shown.
Here is what I need help with to make that happen.
1 – Skits – Gooch thinks he might be able to knock out an Avocado City for this. If anyone else would like to contribute a short (2 minute ish) skit for the thread, feel free. Let me know what you are interested and I will give you my email for submission.
2 – Presenters – My idea for the results thread is to get a various list of people willing to be “presenters” The idea being that every, let’s say, 5 minutes, you present the winner of a category. You can do a little joke, a gif, whatever, but you present the winner. I think this might be more fun than just having me dump it all in the main thread and help it feel more “awards show”. If you want to present, let me know in the comments as well.
3 – In Memoriam – So for this one, I just am looking for someone to memorialize banned bots and failed gimmicks over some sad tune with a burning candle in the background or whatever. Not looking for banned people to be included. Just thinking about stuff like the Witch Doctor bot, Anybody Killa, things like that. Again, just let me know in the comments.
