Previously, on Battlestar Galactica…

Survivor Count: 41,435

The Cylons were created by man. They evolved. They rebelled… And they have a Plan*.

*I hope.

You are all refugees in the Colonial Fleet, protected by the last remaining Battlestar, the Galactica. The 12 Colonies you called home were devastated by a surprise nuclear attack by the Cylons. When humanity last saw the Cylons, they were purely machines. But now there are organic models that look, and feel, human. They may be your friends, your shipmates… they may even be you.

There are Cylon agents planted aboard various ships in the fleet. Because of your various backgrounds, you’ve all been assigned to a secret council that will be allowed to execute suspected Cylons by popular vote. Their true nature can be discerned only after their deaths.

As of now, there are 3 Cylons in the fleet… but only 2 of them know they’re Cylons. Those 2 know the identity of the 3rd, but the 3rd will not be activated until the end of Day 2.

Days will be 48 hours, unless they intersect with a weekend, in which case the end of day will be rounded up or down. Days can also end if a majority votes to lynch.

Nights will be 24 hours, unless all night actions are submitted before then. Buffer time will be included to prevent time-based metagaming.

If the 1-shot Vig attempts to kill someone protected by the Jailkeeper, they will fail, but they will retain their 1-shot ability.

The Vig’s kill will be indistinguishable from the Cylons’ kill.

You may NOT quote anything I say to you in your QT. If you have questions for me regarding the game or your role, please ask me there.

Remember: Attack arguments, not people. This is a game. Have fun, but also respect when someone is playing seriously. Everyone has a different playstyle and you’ll figure out yours along the way.

This is what the standard vanilla message looks like:

You are a VANILLA COLONIAL (Vanilla Townie). You are a regular human in the Colonial fleet on the run from the Cylons. Your only ability is to vote for who should be airlocked each day.

You win when all the Cylons are dead.

PLEASE NOTE: The flavor and mechanics of this particular game allow and encourage extra paranoia, treachery, and betrayal. By that I mean it includes ALIGNMENT-CHANGING. Your pro-town work may crumble when you discover that you are, in fact, scum. Please keep this in mind, and try to have fun with it.

1 Scientist (Cop) – Can target a player each night to discover if they are human or Cylon.
1 Brig Officer (Jailkeeper) – Can target one player each night to protect them from nightkills, but they can’t perform their role
1 Marine (1-Shot Vigilante) – One time, can target someone at night to die
12 Vanilla Colonials (Vanilla Townies)
2 “Active” Cylons (Scum)
1 “Sleeper” Cylon (Scum)
