The story begins with Molly overworked and needing pills to stay awake. They are too expensive and so her friend Helen tries to steal some and get’s caught.

When Helen get’s out of jail she goes to meet Molly at work and her boss sees them together and fires Molly.

Beth and Molly talk Helen out of it and Wonder Woman in her Diana Prince alias decides to investigate.

Wonder Woman confronts the store manager and then later she head’s to a fancy party to talk to the store owner Ms Gloria Bullfinch.

Wonder Woman hypnotizes Ms Bulfinch and wipes her memory. The new identity of Ruth Smith then begins working at the store.

Ruth get’s work there and find’s out that Helen asked Molly to help her rob the place. Wonder Woman tell’s her not to call the cops and that she will handle Helen herself.

Wonder Woman is confronted by Helen in disguise as a masked gun girl.

Etta Candy and the Holliday Girls find a dead night watch man at the store.

They run into Helen Jones who is stealing all of the clothes in the store to get revenge on the Bullfinch store.

Wonder Woman was captured and locked in a safe but she easily frees herself and breaks Steve out and defuses a bomb and breaks into another safe.

Everyone meets up at the store and we learn that the store manager and Gloria’s agent were planning on robbing the store and running off with their briefcases full of cash.

Mr Doe punches Wonder Woman which doesn’t hurt her but does hurt his hand a lot. Also Gloria gets her memory back and knocks him out. Gloria also hires everyone back with double their salaries and improved working conditions.

This might be the best and most realised of the early Golden Age Wonder Woman stories. It’s mostly about Molly and Helen and the other workers at the store against the departament store manager who has a lot of power over the judge and the police who take his word over them.
