Welcome to The Avocado’s weekly discussion of Japanese pop culture! If you only listen to one of the many things I insist on recommending in these threads every week, I hope it’s this. Even if you don’t become a Motoki Ohmori (大森元貴) fan, I just want people to hear his voice. When I first watched these performances, I was so desperate to share it that I planned to upload screen recordings (even if the quality wasn’t the best, I needed to share!) but luckily he uploaded them so everyone can listen the proper way. I don’t know what it takes to sit on a stage alone and sing two incredibly difficult songs without any backup vocals, but whatever it is, he has it.
