The Avocado Weekly Movie Thread (03/31)

Movieacados! This week I had the distinct honour of seeing a movie by myself in theatre. I got to duck out of work a bit early, and had a few hours before my D&D game and the timing worked out for me to go see Ready or Not 2: Here I Come (Mrs. Fistcrush was not interested so I went on my own) and still have time for coffee before rolling those dice. And when I say I saw it by myself I don’t just mean I went by myself in a sad lonely way, I mean I was the ONLY person in that theatre… in a sad lonely way. But that is not what I want to discuss today, more so I want to talk about who I saw in the movie, namely Elijah Wood and Sarah Michelle Geller. I have not seen either of these actor’s in projects for some time and it was nice to see them both back on screen.

So I started thinking about that and not just limited to actor’s and those highly visable, directors, writers, composers, everyone has the ability to take themselves a little or a large sabbatical and step away from work for some time. Seeing those faces on screen or names in the credits is kind of like seeing an old friend, family member or perhaps even acquaintance and catching up, remembering their existence and what they brought to your life in the past. You get to remember the times you had and enjoy the current experience all at once, which can be a really good thing.

So all that being said I have a prompt: What are some of your favourite movie moments involving someone you had not heard from in awhile? Keeping it a little short this week as I lost wifi at home while writing this last night and am now just doing a quick finish off while at work (also why there are less pictures to look at this week).
