The Avocado Weekly Movie Thread (03/17)

Movieacados! I am not one to waste the fortuitous placement of a holiday and the stars aligning for it to fall exactly on movie thread day so seeing as I like to roll with the punches as they say today are will have a little discussion about cinema but apply an Irish filter to our discussion (if you so desire, if not, just enjoy the regular stuff too).

In the meantime I am by no means an expert on Irish cinema but I have watched a decent amount from there. As a far Eastern Canadian there are a fair amount of Irish roots running in my family and I do make a point of watching movies from all over. And even if we are not talking about full on Irish movies there still can be writers, directors and actors all telling stories and putting pieces of their heritage and culture up on screen for us all to see.

As I am keeping it a bit short again this week I will skip right to the point again instead of the usual rambling (don’t worry, rambling will be back soon). What Irish related movie thing would you like to mention? As noted above it does not have to be a movie, it could be a story, character, actor etc, have fun and I will be on the ball next week as I have the prompt fully planned out.
