Owen’s February 24 Night Thread was about diner lingo. Got me wondering about the different terms we all have for certain foods. It could be local slang, an in joke with your friends, or a regional name for something. I have a childhood memory of my mother making chicken fricassee. When I tried to say fricassee it came out “piroski” so that was our family name for the dish from that point on.
