The bright moon lit a path for Scott as he crept through the brush of the Preserve. He wasn’t eager to experience a repeat performance of the last time he was in the woods at night but there was something about that howl, haunting yet demanding. Scott tried his best but he couldn’t ignore the pull from the howl.

He reached a clearing and saw two figures bathed in moonlight standing around multiple lumps. Scott inched forward but his attempt at stealth failed with the snapping of a twig. Glowing red and blue eyes locked onto Scott’s location and in an instant one of the figures was by his side.

“Oh, Scott,” the man with red eyes patted his head condescendingly. “If I had known what a dummy you are, I would’ve bit someone else.”

“Bit me? It was you that night?” Scott’s eyes grew huge with realization. “That means that Stiles was right about werewolves!”

“And you just keep proving my point,” the Alpha tutted poking Scott’s forehead with an elongated claw. “We all have our uses though and I couldn’t have achieved my goal without your help, Scott.”

“Wha- what did I do?” Scott sputtered looking to the other figure for help. The blue eyes glared at Scott in silence, the figure refusing to emerge from the shadows.

“You gave me power I so desperately needed. You see, I once belonged to a large powerful pack, my family. And one horrible night, I watched and felt each member of my pack die while trapped in our burning home. I waited for my turn but it never came. The pain of the fire and losing my pack left me in a coma for years. The only thing I could do was plot my revenge because a family of werewolves doesn’t accidentally die in a house fire!” Peter growled, his red eyes dancing with rage.

“The thing about being in a coma is that people don’t think that you can hear them, but I did. I heard all the secrets and rumors about who was behind the fire. I was ready to take my revenge but I needed the strength to pull it off.

“My dear niece, who inherited the Alpha power, came to visit me. She was never strong enough to do what was necessary so I took action. I became the Alpha, I bit you, I took your power, and I killed Allison.”

Scott dropped to his knees, overwhelmed by the Alpha’s revelation. What could he do against an Alpha werewolf? Stiles, his mom, Allison, they’re all gone. He had nobody left.

“There, there, Scott. It will be alright because we’re going to build a new pack. One where no one can hurt us,” Peter pointed to the three lumps on the ground. “Without Adrian Harris, Hunters won’t learn how to commit arson and make it look like an accident.”

SECRET: You were the Emissary for the Hale Pack but weren’t there for them in their greatest hour of need leading you to lose your pack. You must die for Peter to achieve his win condition. If Scott whispers Deaton’s name, Scott will receive protection that night.

“And lastly, the woman behind it all, Kate Argent. She allowed her hatred of werewolves to completely warp her morals. Posing as a substitute teacher and starting a relationship with a student because she knew he was a werewolf and wanted to kill his entire family. I’m only sorry I couldn’t make her death as painful as it deserves to be.”
