Off again today to scenic Hamtramck, Michigan, for Paczki Day (i.e. Polish Mardi Gras) with my friends. It’s become a fun annual tradition and I haven’t seen them in ages. Hoping to sketch and it definitely feels like this’ll be the official start of a hibernation wind-down of sorts. Mixed feelings on this as it’s been extremely cozy (and I’ve wanted to do something like this for years) but as mentioned earlier, it hasn’t had quite the creative payoff I expected, even if I was able to get cracking on a few infrastructural projects I’ve been perennially postponing. Too much I want to do and in partial address of this issue, I’ve decided to give up Stardew Valley for Lent (a wee bit of irony given that today’ll almost certainly witness my first alcohol consumption in over six weeks). We’ll see how that goes.

Today’s header is a Lenten sendoff; I married Abigail and for some reason she cowered behind the chair at the common mushroom I’d held aloft. I already miss it, but I really need to get back in the saddle.
