This past month has definitely been a struggle for many of us, but we’re also starting to see some small tastes of… not victory exactly, but progress in pushing back in real and firm ways. Not everyone may agree on that part, but the reality is that things are not just always going the administration’s way, and you have to savor their losses, take inspiration from it, and use it to douse the exhaustion and cynicism.

We as a people are definitely being tested – and oh boy are we tired of being tested – and seeing the successes and inspiration coming out of Minneapolis is hugely important and beneficial for the soul, as well as how people are reacting elsewhere, from ICE detention centers being set up and the push back there.

So much of this feels like it’s connected back to a lot of the earliest days of the modern internet in the early aughts on, and it’s always interesting to see what was prescient, and what hinted at the potential. It’s good to know the past, but you also have to be present to build the future.
