Today’s Gumball header goes out to Season 3’s “The Name,” in which Gumball—who has been going by the nickname “Gumball” as far back as he can remember—learns that his real name is Zach.

This causes a total personality shift, with the cocky, collar-popping fratlord “Zach” persona rampaging through Gumball’s life and turning him into an unbearable alpha male.

 

To reclaim the lovable sarcastic loser Zach once was, the Watterson family attempts to have his name legally changed to “Gumball” at city hall. Meanwhile, inside the mindscape, the Gumball persona fights to stop Zach from rewriting all his memories of goofball failure into memories of pompous jock victory.
