Why do we go to movies? Dazzling images on a silver screen, sound that you can feel.

The last time I did the movie Pits was in 2022, and I used the exact same intro. It felt like a totally different world. The top movie was an Avatar film, there was a new Jurassic World film out, Tom Cruise was doing stunts in a legacy sequel, a bunch of superhero films were hitting the multiplexes, and Downton Abbey released what looked like the final movie adaptation. Fast forward to 2025.

And now…. there’s an Avatar movie out, a new Jurassic World, Tom Cruise doing stunts, a bunch of superhero films, and the final Downton Abbey movie.

So…. I guess the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Somehow…

… heartbreak feels good in a place like this.
