Today’s Gumball header honors Season 2’s “The Tape,” one of the earliest of TAWOG’s great anthology-format episodes. This one has the overall conceit of a reel of Watterson family home movies—later episodes to take a similar format would use a less-outdated YouTube motif instead. Among the segments, we have:
A nature documentary about the vicious struggle for groceries in the Wattersons’ kitchen.

Tobias’s advice on how to get the ladies.

A commercial for “Baby Anais, the living haby doll,” which switches gears to the kung-fu action figure “the Anai-lator” when Anais gets annoyed with being used as a doll.

Darwin’s kook science special, exploring the mysteries of why a peanut looks like the infinity sign.

And Gumball and Darwin’s magnum opus, the action spectacle Ninja George II.
