Welcome to the Book Nook! The weekly thread for all book nerds on The Avocado. This is the place to talk about books you’re currently reading, discuss genres, ask for recommendations, and post serious literary criticism.
This week’s prompt: Thoughts on non-memoir books written by people who aren’t primarily known as writers (for example More Fool Me, by Stephen Fry, wouldn’t qualify because it is a memoir, but The Liar, by Stephen Fry, would qualify because it is a novel). Conversely, thoughts on people who are primarily known as writers but who have also worked in other creative fields, for example Gore Vidal’s career as an actor.
Thank you to sic humor for the idea!
Ideas for prompts are always welcome!
Posting pictures is fine as long as they are book related, but I would like this thread to continue to be a NO GIF/YouTube/social media embed zone. Thanks, and happy commenting!
