Movieacados! This week I have been super slow. Comic Convention hangover mixed with new work job means I have been super slack in writing this weeks prompt. Whereas the average is week to week I am about a whole prompt ahead of Tuesdays this week I am quickly typing this in on Monday night because I slacked off for personal and professional reasons. Despite my slack attitude and work ethic I will remind everyone that I am still a lovable goofball and still manage to plod my way through life with a mostly amicable attitude.

And this made me think of the slacker types in movies. Often lovable goofballs who are relegated to sidekick territory they offer things like comic relief, sometimes help the plot move forward, and on the very rare but increasingly common circumstance might actually end up being the heroes of their movies. Slackers can be a breakout role for a lot of character actors, and even a spot for one trick ponies to stop at (and still be a good trick often). Mostly played for laughs they fittingly do not win too many awards but can still be memorable and many people’s favourite by the end of the movie. Yes, by slacking I feel like I am truly a hero to aspire to (plus I recently posted several photos of my basement during the movie poster discussion, which makes me a double trope as a basement slacker).

I suppose at this time I should get off my arse and get around to a prompt… Naw, i’ll do it later… ok now it’s later: What is your favourite movie slacker character? There is a ton to choose from over the years, and while they do not hit a varied range, they do hit a wide range so just mention a favourite and rememver that’s just like your opinion man.
