When I go to the gym I like to multitask with Japanese listening practice, and my favorite thing to watch is episodes of &TEAM’s YouTube series 「TOKYO023」which has them going around different areas of Tokyo to create little guidebooks for their fans. They go in small groups of 3 or 4, they come up with silly team names,1 and after they’ve all created their guidebooks for that ward they do a presentation, and the staff votes on whose was best. It’s not really competitive, but it makes things fun. The whole series is delightful and was the first non-music content of theirs I saw and is a big part of why I fell in love. Anyway, these videos are often very silly, so I’m frequently giggling like a child on the elliptical machine watching things like Taki and Nico be absolutely terrible at making food samples. Which is one of the things that happens in this episode. Check it out! There are English subtitles too. So you don’t have to be studying Japanese to enjoy this delightful content.
