The NHL’s 2025-26 season starts tonight, hockey fans! With the last major bits of contract drama settled for the time being (with Kirill Kaprizov re-signing with Minnesota for eight years at $17 million AAV, and Connor McDavid taking a two-year extension with Edmonton for an economical $12.5 million AAV), it’s time to turn from rumors and rumblings to hard-hitting hockey action!!!! (Excuse me, I’ve been really eager for the season to start.)
