Welcome to The Avocado’s weekly discussion of Japanese pop culture! I really had no choice this week, it HAD to be this collaboration between two of my favorites. Kenshi Yonezu (米津玄師) AND Hikaru Utada (宇多田ヒカル) is almost too much for my heart. I’ve been waiting to hear the full song ever since it was first announced, and it is honestly perfect. And the music video is somehow even more perfect? I don’t understand it. But it’s just a match made in heaven. The coolness level is off the charts.
