We talked about Keanu yesterday, but we can’t forget his “big sister,” Mia!

Mia is technically the first cat I lived with. She is/was my girlfriend’s cat before we got together. The first time I visited my girlfriend’s house, she told me that Mia was a scaredy cat and would hide from all strangers. Well, within 15 minutes of me sitting down, Mia came out from her hidey-hole and sat down near me, exposing her belly for some belly rubs. That was nearly four years ago and Mia and I have been friends since.

Mia started out as a shy, scaredy cat but is now the boss of our household. We feed the cats in separate rooms, but Mia always runs in to eat any food Keanu hasn’t finished yet. She likes to sniff Keanu’s butt in a somewhat threatening and bullying manner. She jumps on my desk when I’m in meetings, slaps my hand, and them climbs on the laptop and turns it off.

Mia likes to climb but needs help getting down from places. The first day after we moved into our new house, I couldn’t find her and was terrified that Mia had somehow escaped in the commotion. It turns out she found a way into the rafters of the basement and decided it would be the best place to take a nap.
