Werewolf 239: Amphibia – Day 5

“Anne?” Sprig called as he wandered through the dark forest. “Where are you?”

The young frog couldn’t remember how he’d gotten there – one minute he was sleeping in his bed, the next he woke up in this gloomy and forbidding place. He just wanted to go home.

There was a light bobbing in the distance, like someone carrying a lantern, and he could hear a deep and operatic voice singing but was too far to make out the lyrics. He shivered. He really didn’t want to know the lyrics.

Suddenly a twig cracked behind Sprig. He whirled around just in time to be picked up by a young human boy.

”Jason Funderberker, I’ve been looking everywhere for you!” the boy exclaimed.

Sprig wriggled in the boy’s grasp but for some reason couldn’t break free. “I’m Sprig Plantar! I’ve never heard of Jason Funderberker before!”

But all the boy heard was “GRAWP”.

Josephus (Jason Funderberker the Frog) has died. He was Sprig Plantar, a Townie.

ROLES

Town – Citizens of Wartwood (9 4 Players)

  • Anne Boonchuy: (Town Investigator) A stranded teenager from Earth, she is searching for a way back to her friends and family. Each Night you may target a player to receive their alignment.
  • Polly Plantar: (One-Shot Vigilante) A tadpole and the youngest of the Plantars, she harbors a concerning obsession with weapons and violence. On either Night 1 or Night 3 you may choose to kill another player. If you attempt to use this ability on Night 1 but the action doesn’t succeed, you may try again on Night 3.
  • Sprig Plantar: An adventurous young frog who is Polly’s older brother and Anne’s new best friend. The first time you would be Night Killed, you perform the Plantar Family Hunting Dance to distract your attacker and escape unscathed.
  • Hop Pop Plantar: (Town Watcher) A very stubborn old farmer, he is deeply protective of his grandchildren and is wary of anything that new that might challenge his traditions or harm his family. Each Night you may target a player. You will be notified of any players who visited that player during the Night. You cannot target the same player on consecutive Nights.
  • Maddie Flour: (Town Doctor) A mysterious and strange young frog who possesses magical abilities. Each Night you may target a player. If that player would die that Night, you use your magic to heal them. You cannot target the same player on consecutive Nights.

Wolves – Occupants of Toad Tower (3 1 Player)

  • Captain Grime: (Wolf Vigilante) The feared leader of the Toad Army in Frog Valley, it is up to him to ensure that the rule of law is being enforced, even if that means crushing the citizenry. Has the ability to Night kill a player, with certain secret restrictions.
  • Percy: (Wolf Jailor) A guard at Toad Tower. Each Night you may target a player. That player will be unable to use any Night actions that Night and cannot be the target of Night actions that Night. You cannot target the same player on consecutive Nights.
  • Sasha Waybright: Anne’s friend, who ended up at Toad Tower instead of Wartwood. Reads as Town to Anne.

Serial Killer (1 Player)

  • Teddy: An elderly innkeeper whose family has a penchant for drugging and eating their guests. Each Night you may target a player to kill. Reads as Town to Anne.

RULES
  • No quoting or screencapping from Discord.
  • You cannot edit any of your posts.
  • Ties will be decided by RNG.
  • The Wolves must choose one Wolf to carry out the Night kill. If there is more than one Wolf, the same Wolf cannot do so on consecutive Nights.
  • Order of Night Actions: Jailing > Watching/Investigating > Killing > Healing
  • Auto-kill is initiated when one player receives the votes of more than half the remaining players. If it is a Kill-Or-Be-Killed scenario, all players must vote before auto-kill can activate.
  • Be kind, and have fun!
