Hey, all; Happy, Healthy. and Heart-Filled Friday –
Yep, it’s that rarest of birds, a JRT that falls on a holiday; Valentine’s Day, if you’ve forgotten. Lord knows I did until I checked the calendar. I’ve never had much use for it, myself beyond getting all of those little cards back in elementary school. No, really; I’m serious. The longer we were making little mailboxes and passing out cards, the less we learning, and the less chance there was of homework.
Beyond that, and the chance of free chocolate, I wonder if I grew up taking away the wrong lessons from the holiday? Ah, well; loveless my shriveled. blackened heart may be, but chalky, cloyingly-sweet candy hearts are forever. May you never be forced to eat them.
