Welcome to The Avocado’s weekly discussion of Japanese pop culture! A few weeks ago I watched the excellent live-action series 「好きやねんけどどうやろか」(Sukiyanen Kedo Dou Yaro ka), and the theme song by GENIC was so good that it has resulted in me listening to almost nothing but their music ever since. Mostly, I’ve been listening to their album from last year, N_G, which is excellent, but today they released another new album! After my first listen, I don’t know if it’s as good as the previous album, but it’s still fun. This song in particular stood out, so give it a listen if you’re in the mood for something bright and upbeat today.
