Apologies to Paper Jam for being the header- Thinking of a non-contentious/seemingly clickbaity example was surprisingly hard! I was gonna put Kingdom Hearts 2 there, but thats very much a Me Thing
Welcome to the 30 Day challenge of November which is going to be all about Role Playing Games of all shapes and sizes, whether produced in Japan or USA, tactical or real-time and more.
As the month winds down, it’s time for the traditional prompt of venting about games we did NOT enjoy. Sometimes this is is due to being glitchy and broken, sometimes the story or characters too cringey, sometimes they suffer by contrast to a superior preceding game. Or they can just turn out to be achingly dull.
And so, the main prompt of the day is: What RPGs were the most unenjoyable and/ or dissapointing to you, and for what reasons?
Bonus prompt: If your Main Proint answer was due to gameplay choices/limitations, whats an RPG that was done in by its narrative? And Vice Versa?
New Prompt Plus: Hot take corner: What’s a consensus popular RPG you just don’t gel with?
Optional Postgame prompt: Whats’ a dissapointing RPG that’s just a few tweaks away from being fun? Any that could be remastered to their benefit?
MY TRASH Prompt: The most flawed RPG you still enjoy?
