Good news, everyone! The September challenge is gonna be Futurama themed!
One thing that sets Futurama apart from Simpsons is that Futurama always had more continuity. Nothing ironclad, but there was more of an acknowledgement that time passes, relationships could change, and there was even a bona fide ongoing “plot” of sorts with Fry and the Nibblonians and Leelas search for her parents, with hints and everything.
So for today the prompt is, what are the best and worst examples of Futurama continuity? Did it ever matter to you? Did you enjoy the Fry “chosen one” storyline?
Bonus prompt: Any major shakes up to the status quo you’d like to see, or anything explored in more depth?
Cancellation Bonus prompt: Would you like to see the Brain Spawn / Nibblonian plot revisited
Revival Bonus Prompt: Funniest and most annoying flagrant disregard of past events?
