DNC 2024: Day 3 (Wednesday, August 21st)

It’s Day 3 of the 2024 Democratic National Convention, and in the interest of keeping the Politics Thread functional and welcoming to anyone who might want to talk about something political besides the DNC, we’re asking that live blogging and other in-the-moment discussion of tonight’s events be restricted to this thread. Of course, people are welcome to talk about the DNC on the main Politics Thread, particularly if seeking a more prolonged, in-depth, or general conversation, but in terms of reacting to it live, the party is over here.

Here is one way to free stream tonight’s broadcast:

You can also stream directly from the DNC’s website: https://demconvention.com/watch/

The main programming tonight is scheduled to run from 5:30pm – 10:00pm CST. The expected speakers tonight are Hakeem Jeffries, Cory Booker, Amy Klobuchar, Catherine Cortez Mastro, Wes Moore, Josh Shapiro, Bill Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, and Pete Buttigieg. The star of the evening, however, will be Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who will end the night by accepting the Democratic vice-presidential nomination.

Did you miss any of the previous excitement? No worries! You can catch up on all the events of the DNC thus far:

Day 1 (Monday, August 19th)

Day 2 (Tuesday, August 20th)

We will put up a separate thread for Day 4 (Thursday, August 22nd) as well. In the meantime, have fun, be respectful, and remember that site rules still apply (except for the rule against live blogging, obviously).
