What’s in a name? More than usual today at the Musicals Thread!
I’ve seen a few variations on this game, most recently while marathoning old Tonight Show Hashtags clips, and I thought it could be fun in a theatre context: Add a word to a show or song title to change its meaning. If you like, include a synopsis of the renamed version, too. I’ll start us off with one of each:
The Phantom of the Soap Opera – Daytime drama actress suddenly finds herself thrust into a leading storyline and a love triangle between the show’s sponsor and its reclusive writer.
“Dungeon Master of the House” – Thénardier revels in the sadistic scenarios he creates for the rest of his RPG group.
