Case #3: (which I wasn’t following up until very recently) The Young Thug trial down in Fulton County, GA. Hooooooooo boy…SO the defense attorney found out about an ex parte meeting between the judge, the ADA, and a witness in the case. The judge got PISSED that the defense attorney found out about the meeting, even though the judge was required to let him know. so the JUDGE imposed a 20 day criminal contempt sentence on the DEFENSE ATTORNEY for refusing to disclose where he got this info. Judge is about to get his ass tossed off the case. Mike Dunford (legal commentator) tweeted: “Status of Young Thug trial at end of day: The judge dove past doubling down, blew through the exponential barrier without a significant loss of momentum, and is now cheerfully sailing off into the realm of the kind of mathematics where the superscripts are equations.” So…this just happened and I don’t have an article to link to yet, but you can find one by now eventually. It was a RIDE yesterday.
