Welcome to the Weekly Movie Thread, your place on the Avocado to discuss films with your fellow commenters. Want to make a recommendation? Looking for recommendations? Want to share your opinions of movies, both new and classic?

Did you know there was a Pop Tarts movie coming out this week? Directed by Jerry Seinfeld, Unfrosted: The Pop-Tarts Story stars Melissa McCarthy, Jim Gaffigan, Amu Schumer, and more.
Sadly, the nascent “movies about brands” seems to yet catch on with the viewing public. That Air Jordan movie failed to be a slamdunk despite reuniting Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. And Flamin’ Hot, the film about Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, failed to set the world on fire. I suspect that Unfrosted will soon share the same fate, doomed for a spot in the shelves somewhere next to Foodfight.

A reminder that the above movie somehow featured the voice talents of Charlie Sheen, Hillary Duff, Eva Longoria, Wayne Brady, Ed Asner, Christine Baranski, Jerry Stiller, Larry Miller, and Christopher Lloyd.
But that’s not what I want to talk about.
I want to talk about snacks.
Unfrosted is going straight to streaming on Netflix. We all know that when you go to theaters you are tempted by the siren’s smell of hot buttered popcorn (as detailed in Homer’s The Odyssey, when Ulysses had his men lash him to the masts lest he be tempted by delicious smell of popped kernels). But perhaps it’s different at home. Perhaps you’ve opted to quench your idle hunger through a non-traditional nosh.
After all, the advantage of watching at home is that you’re not limited to the theater’s offerings, and Skinny Pop can be had at CostCo in bulk.
Bonus prompt: what is your go-to snack when you watch a movie at home?
