Before we go any further, I’d just like to give a big thanks to everyone for making this tourney so special! I’ve always had a fascination with opening sequences in TV, and that love only deepened when I first got into anime. I had a wonderful time getting the chance to discuss so many openings with all of you, and to discover so many that were entirely new to me!

In fourth place (with 24 votes in the 3rd Place Match) we have that true classic, Moonlight Denetsu from Sailor Moon!

In third place (with 25 votes in the 3rd Place Match) we have perhaps this tourney’s biggest surprise hit, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang from Ya Boy Kongming!

In second place (with 18 votes in the Championship Match) we have Satoshi Kon and Susumu Hirasawa’s surreal masterpiece, Dream Island Obsessional Park from Paranoia Agent!

In first place (with 37 votes in the Championship Match) we have perhaps the most iconic anime opening of all time, Tank! from Cowboy Bebop!
