Hey, all; Happy Friday-

This past Monday, those of you living on the Eastern Seaboard may have heard a faint wailing noise, like a trapped creature facing an inevitable demise. Well, I’m here to tell you not to worry: it was just me putting down the final deposit for the vacation I’m taking with my brother and sister in-law this September.

Make no mistake, I still want to go. It’s just that, when putting down the initial deposit some months ago, I may have been a little more…Flush than I am, now; and trying to balance that with both my vacation accruals and the logistics of getting my technologically-dependent ass hasn’t exactly been what I’d call conducive to my mental health.

That’s right, I’m getting stressed out by the thought of vacation.

I guess what I’m trying to say is: please tell me I’m not alone in this. When it comes to relaxation, I’m a very simple man, and anything that requires planning and effort I my part to reach that state feels, at the very least, counterproductive.
