I’m taking a little break from silent horror movies to talk about one of my favorite horror movies that I got to see in theaters last night, Dario Argento’s Suspiria.

It’s the story of meek American girl Suzy Banyon (played by Jessica Harper) who enrolls in Tanz Dance Academy in Freiburg. However, freaky shit is going on there. Maggots fall from the ceiling, calm dogs get violent, and students are dropping like flies.

The film is just gorgeous. It’s got some amazing shots.

It has a pretty neat soundtrack from Goblin.

A remake of it is coming out this month. I have high expectations for it though I doubt it’ll reach the original.
