Jeopardy! recap for Thur., Nov. 23

Jeopardy! recap for Thur, Nov. 23 – It was hard to give thanks for this sluggish contest, in which champ Kiana took the lead on the next-to-last clue of DJ, but Jesse grabbed it right back to close out the round. The scores going into FJ were Jesse with $7,800, Kiana at $6,900 and Liz with $3,600.

DD1 – LEFTIST PROPOGANDA – When an organ is medically referred to as this, it’s not evil, it’s just on the left side of the body (Jesse lost $1,000)

DD2 – LINE CRAFT – Picasso made many line drawings of this bird whose Spanish name Paloma he gave to one of his daughters (Kiana lost $1,100)

DD3 (video) – POLITICAL QUOTES – Politician seen here in 1984 (saying “Vice President… it has such a nice ring to it” (Jesse lost $2,000)

FJ – TURKEY WITH THE TRIMMINGS – Of the 8 countries that border Turkey, these 2 extend the farthest East & West

Jesse and Kiana were correct on FJ, and Jesse only bet $3,200, not enough to cover double of Kiana’s score. Fortunately for him, Kiana continued her small-wagering ways with a $3,000 bet, so Jesse won it with a total of $11,000.

Triple Stumper of the day: So many to choose from, but I’ll go with them not knowing the 48th and 49th states that start with the same letter are Arizona and Alaska.

This day in Trebekistan: Alex brought out his FDR impression and seemed a bit appalled that the contestants already have forgotten James Comey.

Contestant chit-chat: What does a performance manager do? Manage performance, what a silly question.

Correct Qs:
DD1 – What is sinister?
DD2 – What is a dove?
DD3 – Who is Ferraro?
FJ – What are Greece and Iran?
