DD2 – 1,600 – YE OLDE SCIENCE – The ancient Romans used this 2-word farming concept with a revolving “food, feed & fallow” planting method (Dave improved by 5,000 to 14,000.)

DD3 – 1,600 – 19th CENTURY WOMEN WRITERS – An older sister wrote about this youngest one’s “Tenant of Wildfell Hall”, “The choice of subject was an entire mistake” (In second place with 11,000, Pete wagered just 2,000 and was correct.)

Dave scored on DD2, then Pete had a chance to make a big move on DD3 but went with a small wager, so Dave led into FJ at 20,000 vs. 13,400 for Pete and 11,200 for Eugene.

MOVIE INSPIRATIONS – A store’s mingling of displays of 2 different holidays inspired a poem and years later, a 1990s film with this name

Pete and Eugene were correct on FJ. Pete doubled up, while Eugene didn’t quite bet enough to cover twice of Pete’s score in the two-game totals. Pete won with 26,800, advanced to Champions Wild Card and won $35,000 in real money. Dave and Eugene each received $15,000.
