“Laying Blame” is a song originally written and performed by Sloan. It was covered by Eric’s Trip and released in 1993 as part of a split 7″ with Sloan (in a limited edition of 1,000 copies) to benefit CKDU-FM, a community/campus non-profit radio station in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It later appeared on the 1994 Cinnamon Toast Records compilation Trim Crusts If Desired.
