Sometimes I stumble across something online I never expect to find. Proving that YouTube recommendations aren’t a completely lost cause, this video appeared in my feed shortly after watching some Transformers G1 retrospective videos. It’s something which absolutely sounds like it shouldn’t work: why mix the classic “Pink Elephants on Parade” song from Dumbo with the fucking Decepticons? And yet it works perfectly. Megatron’s cackle. Starscream’s voice. The fact that in this context it somehow turns into an intimidating militaristic number. It’s only 30 seconds long. But those 30 seconds are glorious.
Also oh yeah Starscream appears to be totes gay here and I’m pretty sure he has an ass now. Michael Bay would approve, since he did give Devastator a pair of balls. Rest assured, it’s safe for work.
