As many of you have likely heard, there’s a giant winter storm set to hit the US this weekend, dropping a ton of snow and ice, knocking out power, fucking up roads, and turning Great Lakes lighthouses into Lovecraftian horrors. I’m in the South, where these types of storms often wind up getting referred to with words with ‘-pocalypse’ tacked onto the end, so I’ve been slowly building up on the preparedness front for the past few days–it was a wild fucking ride at the grocery store on Thursday, let me tell you. I hope all you ‘cados out there in the path of Winter Storm Name To Be Determined stay safe and cozy. If you’re not in the path of the storm, stay safe and comfortable anyway; you deserve that.
Regardless of the weather outside, we can keep it the perfect temperature in here by being nice to each other, being nice to the mods, and not threatening Mayor McSquirrel. If he’s out on the streets this weekend, though, we can hope that he’s freezing his nuts off.
