Look, when I picked this topic, I thought I’d have more material. But what can I really say here? They’re drunk. It’s no accident. The animators knew damn well what they were doing. They aren’t silly from “eating too much honey” (an impossible task since Pooh notoriously never lets his friends consume any) or some crap like that. They’re fucking plastered. And it was on purpose. Disney allowed it. “Oh, the parents will chuckle at this, but the kids won’t get it!” Nice try, Disney, but there are millions of adults now attending mandatory A.A. meetings because they grew up watching Winnie the Pooh: A Very Drunk Pooh Year (Hiccup!). No animated movie has produced this many alcoholics since Dumbo. So fuck you, Rabbit! Fuck you, Tigger! Be better role models! And, um, save some of that booze for me next time…
