Welcome to The Avocado’s weekly discussion of Japanese pop culture! The Fall anime season is just around the corner. What are you looking forward to watching? For me, the answer is of course the new season of Natsume’s Book of Friends. But I’m also super interested in Nina the Starry Bride. Based on a josei manga by Rikachi, this is a fantasy series…and that’s pretty much all I know beyond what is shown in the trailer below. But I’ve heard such great things about the manga, so when the anime was announced I was very excited! The trailer looks great, too. I’m very into this aesthetic.
