Groups will no longer be feathered, and will instead be open until 9:00 am Pacific the day after they go live (roughly the time the next group goes live). Whew, a lot of close results. First up, the tie. Snake Man is pretty good, but Mystic Cave Zone is maybe the funkiest song in all of classic Sonic, so I had to give it the nod. Not counting that match, we had four rounds decided by a single vote; “Smiles and Tears” winning in particular is a bit of an upset. It was trailing pretty much the entire day, but made an unexpected rally late. I also think it’s the first time a bubble wild card song has advanced, so that’s neat.
