The din of the crowd begins to grow as more and more shuffle in. You await in the locker rooms, next to your school mates. Suddenly, everything goes quiet. The lights of the arena shut off. A single spotlight appears.
“Hello and welcome to the The Ultimate Sport Game Tournament!! I will be your host, lutair!” The crowd goes absolutely apeshit. “Now, now. I’m not the only star here. Please welcome this year’s host school, Miumina High!”
On the queue, you all enter the stadium to raucous cheers (and a few boos). You jog a quick circle around the multi-sport arena before heading back to the lockers. After the rest of the high schools are introduced, the host comes into your locker room to introduce himself.
“Hello, kids. I hope you’re ready to sport your darn hearts out. Good news, bad news. The good news is, you’re up first in the tournament. The first sport will be conglewhacking. This is a very simple sport which consists largely in jumping, swinging large rubber flails, and ducking. You will need a team of 5 to represent you.”
“What about the bad news?” asks Adora, loopily.
“Ah yes, the bad news. Well, you’ve got one too many players to participate. This means you’ve got to remove someone before you go on the field. Feel free to vote on it or whatever. Also, those people who play conglewhacking will not have to worry about being voted out today or tomorrow, so consider that.”
“Anywhoo, feel free to start voting or whatever. Good luck!” and with a flash of glitter and smoke, lutair left.
