Tomb of Dracula created by Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan ran for 70 issues from April 1972 until August 1979.
The series featured a group of vampire hunters trying to stop Dracula as well as other supernatural forces.
One of the highlights of the series occurred in issue #10 with the first appearance of Blade.
Tomb of Dracula is probably one of the most sought after runs in comics.
If I was a teenager in the 1970s I would have definitely picked this up at the drug store from the spinner rack.
Dracula’s presence was felt in other parts of the Marvel Universe, most notably tussling with the X-Men and turning Storm into a vampire. Dracula would be reacquainted with the X-Men in the 2000s during the Curse of the Mutants storyline.
