This week I thought we could talk about shows, characters, or specific songs that you relate to. Every now and then I come across a song that just seems to perfectly capture how I feel about something or someone. This isn’t just confined to musicals; I’m generally a very, I don’t know, sentimental person? So, it doesn’t take much for me to connect to song on a personal level. But it’s even more common with musicals. Without going into a lot of detail (I don’t want to completely hijack our thread here), I lost someone important last week, and so I’m remembering a song that I’ve always associated with our relationship. It’s “For Good” from Wicked. I think it does a very good job of exploring how complicated relationships can be sometimes. Here’s a video if you’re not familiar:
