This is part of a series of mini-reviews of R.E.M.’s studio albums, ranked worst to best. (Don’t worry; I’ll keep them short.)
#6: Accelerate.
A return to form late in their career. One of their hardest rocking records.
BEST SONGS: Living Well Is The Best Revenge, Supernatural Superserious, Houston, Accelerate, Mr. Richards (which I still think was about Dick Cheney).
WORST SONGS: None; but the sound is compressed rather hard.
