There Are No Small Parts, Merely the Weekly Video Games Thread

Happy Monday, folks, and welcome to the Weekly Video Games Thread!

I started Chibi-Robo: Plug Into Adventure! yesterday. Only played for about forty minutes, got into the kitchen. But I found the world quite charming and feel confident I picked the right GameCube game as my monthly retro title. For those unfamiliar, it’s a Toy Story-style world about a cleaning robot who takes care of a family. Chibi-Robo has huge sandboxes, but they’re suburban rooms and not valleys or deserts.

This has led me to ask you today’s prompt: what’s your favorite example of a game shrinking down to puny, minute, or even microscopic size? This could be Amaterasu jumping into the emperor’s body, or Mario leaping across Tiny-Huge Island, or that Wii game Deadly Creatures. Did anyone play that one? Nintendo Power made it sound kinda cool before they gave it a pretty middling review, but the idea of a survival horror game where you alternate playing a spider and a scorpion sounds really cool. Maybe when Nintendo puts Wii games on NSO, they’ll have that as one of the weird third party titles?

Anyway, what did you play this weekend?
