WHY IT’S BAD: It’s completely unnecessary. The originals were better. BUT the three new songs are fantastic.
BEST SONGS: No More Lonely Nights (ballad) with Dave Gilmour on a magnificent guitar outro; Not Such A Bad Boy, a mid tempo fun rocker; No Values, an even better rocker which Paul dreamed as a Rolling Stones song. Could have been.
WORST SONGS: The weird remake of Silly Love Songs, although it’s got a boss bass solo from Louis Johnson; The Long and Winding Road with a saxophone solo. The “playout version” of No More Lonely Nights.
SAVING GRACE: It’s not terrible, but it’s (mostly) a waste of time. Like the film.
