The 3/24 Hockey Thread Warms Up for the Playoffs

The NHL schedule is brimming with divisional and conference matchups for the final dozen or so games of the season, bringing a healthy touch of playoff-style intensity in many cases as teams battle to grab or hold onto a playoff spot. In what’s widely expected to be the marquee matchup of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs, the Minnesota Wild hosted the Dallas Stars on Saturday, with journeyman forward and recent Wild acquisition Vladimir Tarasenko scoring the game-winning goal in OT for a 2-1 Wild victory.

The regular-season hockey threads won’t be pinned, so you might want to keep this open in a separate tab if you’d like to keep an eye on it until the next one goes up. (Considering how fast unpinned posts slide down the home page, I’ll probably be slapping up a new one of these every Tuesday and Saturday as long as I remember to do so.) Otherwise, you can always find these under the Sports > Hockey menu at the top of the home page.

Have fun and happy hockey!
