Weekly Video Games Thread Is in an Ancient-Slash-Futuristic World

Happy Monday, folks, and welcome to the Weekly Video Games Thread!

I’m feeling a bit sick right now, so in lieu of a long explanation, I’ll just mention one thing I loved about Astro’s Playroom, which I got to only a few weeks ago. And that’s how it has this world that’s simultaneously ancient, creaking, and rustic and futuristic, robotic, and technological. This is because it’s set in the magical insides of a PlayStation 5, but it still leads the game to having this really charming aesthetic.

So I’d love to hear more examples of levels or overall settings in games that are at once in the far past and distant future. And, while you’re thinking that, let me know what you played this weekend?
