Now: on to the Tuesday horn tootin’! I like to write flash fiction. Which is somewhere between prose poetry and short stories. The length of pieces tends to be determined by the contest. Anyway, I wrote a hermit crab essay, which is an essay in the format of something that isn’t literature. So someone who writes an essay about how to get over a broken heart, but it’s in a recipe format. (1 good friend, 2 bars of chocolate, 3 bottles of wine, etc.) Anyway, I wrote a piece called “Directions Home From a Nightmare” and it’s in the format of MapQuest directions.
