The Bongo Night Thread

The bongo is the third largest antelope in the world, but good luck seeing one in its native habitat; they are found in tropical jungles of central Africa, where their beautiful stripes make them hard to spot. Like many forest ungulates, they form small groups, and are mostly active at night. Eastern bongos tend to be darker overall than their western counterparts.

The sexes are the same size, and both have horns. They have complex social interactions with others in their territory, and are known to be extremely timid around humans. Also, you guessed it… the babies are cute:
