The fossa (Cryptoprocta ferox) is a slender, long-tailed, cat-like mammal that is endemic to Madagascar. It is a member of the carnivoran family Eupleridae. Its closest relatives outside of Madagascar are the hyenas and the mongooses. It grows up to 1.5m long including tail, and spends most of its time running around in trees. The babies are hella cute.
